We all have different personas that we use in various situations because certain behaviours are required. If we operate from our true authentic self, there is generally no conflict when we switch between these personas.
However, if we have developed a false self during our childhood because we have had to adapt our authentic way of being, to fit other people's expectations, or to receive the attention that we required, then this is when internal conflict can occur.
