BWRT
BrainWorking Recursive Therapy

***Online therapist UK***

‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a modern model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI. It uses a totally logical, practical and down-to-earth working method in which it’s not necessary for you to talk about anything you would rather not discuss – the practitioner only needs to know how you feel and how you would prefer to feel instead. BWRT® is unlike any other therapy you might have heard of or read about, using the latest discoveries in neuroscience coupled with your own unique brain processes to help you get better. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code. Find out more at http://www.bwrt.org

So what is BWRT®?

BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® is best described using an analogy.  Imagine your brain is like a computer, constantly scanning the data you have put in, to look for matching files.  Your brain does this in every situation, it assesses the environment and searches for a matching response to determine how it should react. Responses are created based upon the need to survive and therefore neural pathways are created, which will fire up each time you have the same or similar experience - I mean it must be the correct response if it kept you safe the first time, right?  Well this may have been a suitable response at the time of the event but as we go through life, our experiences change, we develop and grow as individuals and some of these responses become outdated and are no longer suitable responses for certain situations.

BWRT® is an innovative, dynamic and rapid therapy, predominantly producing everlasting results.  It works with the earliest part of the brain, the reptilian complex, and allows you to use those outdated neural pathways - the response you wish to change, and literally create a new neural pathway - a new response based on how you prefer to feel in any given situation and one that is much more suitable to you now.

What happens in a session?

During the initial consultation, I will complete an intake assessment form to ensure that BWRT® is the right therapy for you and to also ensure that the difficulties that you are presenting to me are suitable for Level 1 BWRT®, which is the level I am currently trained to.  In the event you required a higher level of therapy, I would provide you with other practitioners who would be able to help you.  If Level 1 is appropriate, we will then book a subsequent session to start the process of BWRT®.  During this time, you do not need to divulge any deep and personal information regarding past issues.  BWRT® is generally content free and empowers you to create your own outcome.

What can BWRT® help with?

I specialise in working with Fears and Phobias and have successfully resolved issues that have caused debilitating effects on my clients every day of their lives.
However, BWRT® can work with so many issues that it would be futile to try and create a list.  If you feel that BWRT® is the right therapy for you then please feel free to contact me so that we can talk about what you may need some help with.

Sessions and fees

Each session varies in length due to the nature of the therapy.  Some may be as long as an hour and some may only take 30 minutes.  The fees quoted are for the therapy, regardless of session length.
An initial, information gathering session will be booked in the first instance where an intake form will be completed to ensure that level 1 BWRT is suitable for you.  Subsequent sessions will then be booked to conduct the therapy.  The amount of sessions required will depend on your presenting issue.  Many can be resolved in just one!

BWRT Initial consultation
This the first session where we will spend some time getting to know each other and where I will complete an intake form to ensure that Level 1 BWRT is suitable for you.  BWRT will be explained to you and there will be the opportunity to watch some videos which helps to give a visual explanation of this amazing therapy.

BWRT initial consultation - 9am-5pm - £65
BWRT initial consultation - 7pm-9pm - £75

BWRT sessions
During these sessions, the therapy will be conducted in line with the explanation you would have received in the initial consultation.  These sessions will vary in length.

All session fees must be paid in advance before the session commences.
I am currently not accepting insurance payments.
